Carlisle II Historic Foot Ferry

Carlisle II Historic Foot Ferry
Carlisle II Historic Foot Ferry

Description

Built in 1917, Carlisle II is the oldest continuously operated ferry in Puget Sound and one of only two operating vessels from the Mosquito Fleet era. Kitsap Transit preserved the vessel through a major refurbishment while keeping it in public service.

Carlisle II is a working transit vessel, not a static museum. Assignment can change, so seeing or riding it on the Port Orchard–Bremerton route is not guaranteed on a particular trip.
